2nd home search finds North Little Rock woman dead inside

North Little Rock police said a woman reported missing last week was found dead in her home Thursday after officers searched the residence a second time.

Officers first searched the home of Rocklin Rachaner, 59, on April 14 after friends said she had not responded to phone calls and they were concerned about her well-being, according to police spokesman Sgt. Brian Dedrick. Police did not find the woman. Rachaner was then listed in a national database of missing people.

Dedrick said that as the search for Rachaner continued, investigators returned to her home at 703½ W. 34th St. on Thursday to look for additional evidence. He said they found Rachaner's body behind a TV stand, and it had been there since she was reported missing.

"When I first walked in, I didn't see where she was," Dedrick said. "She was a smaller woman, and she was kind of laying behind that TV. We're not sure what she was doing back there in that area. There's quite a lot of stuff in that residence."

Rachaner's cause of death had not been determined. Police did not suspect foul play.
