An investigation is ongoing into the death of a 27-year-old man after authorities discovered his body early Friday at an apartment complex in Monroe County.
In a statement, Arkansas State Police spokesman Bill Sadler said the body of Robert Matthew Grant Ewans, 27, of Holly Grove was found while local authorities were responding to a disturbance call about 4 a.m. to Cottonwood Manor Apartments, which is at Arkansas 17 and 86 in Holly Grove.
Dale Erwin Ware, 46, of Pine Bluff has been arrested in connection with the death. Authorities said they developed information about 8 a.m. and were able to arrest Ware after learning of his whereabouts in Pine Bluff.
Ewans' body has been transported to the state Crime Laboratory to determine a cause of death, Sadler said, adding that Ewans appeared to have been shot.
Ware was being held in Monroe County as of Friday afternoon, according to state police.
