Where I live: Huntingdon subdivision in northeast Fayetteville.

Occupation: trust officer with Arvest Bank.

My favorite space is: my sewing room.

Why? It's the place I get to keep all my clutter, all my fabric and all the tools for my hobby -- quilting. It's nice to have a space that I can leave set up all the time for my hobby. It makes it easy to work on my latest project for short periods of time here and there, whether I'm trying out colors for a quilt block, cutting fabric or sewing pieces together. Often, my spouse wanders in, followed by our dog, and we end up talking about the day or what's coming up in our lives, without the distraction of television or computer. Anything I like that doesn't really go with the rest of the house ends up in here, so it's really a mishmash of things I like to look at. I like to come in here and let my eyes and mind wander and to just be surrounded by things that make me smile.

If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: Besides collect more fabric? I need a better chair for sewing, and maybe a comfy chair or loveseat for when I do handwork. Eventually, I'll upgrade my sewing table, but for now what I have works just fine.
