1 arrested after man killed in stabbing at Arkansas apartment complex

A 24-year-old has been arrested after the overnight stabbing death of a man at an apartment complex in Forrest City, according to police.

Authorities responded to the stabbing about 4:15 a.m. Tuesday at Manor House Apartments, 1421 N. Division St., where they found an unresponsive black man on the floor with multiple apparent stab wounds, the Forrest City Police Department said.

In a news release Tuesday afternoon, police identified the stabbing victim as Lamont McCline. He was 43, The Associated Press reported.

Kamron Morris, 24, of Forrest City is being held at the St. Francis County jail on felony charges of first-degree murder and residential burglary in the case, authorities said.

Records show his first court appearance is set for Wednesday afternoon.

Three people were questioned about the stabbing, police said.
