Wednesday recruiting tidbits: RB high on Hogs

An Arkansas running back target said the Hogs are one of his top schools.

Running back Trey Coleman, 6-0, 213, 4.6 of West Monroe, La. said his visit to Fayetteville on Friday and Saturday elevated the Hogs's chances of landing him. He said Arkansas is one of his top schools and is looking to visit for the Alabama game in the fall.

Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Iowa State are some of his 11 offers. Coleman thinks highly receivers coach Michael Smith. He said Smith is very relatable.

He was very impressed with Arkansas facilities and the natural beauty of Northwest Arkansas.

Scotland Performance Institute forward Cheickna Dembele recently announced a top 10 that didn't include Arkansas, according to Mike Waters of Syracruse.com.

Arkansas has asked for the transcript of Jonesboro sophomore guard Desi Sills after seeing him play for the Arkansas Hawks this past weekend.

The 16-under Arkansas Hawks are ranked No. 7 in the nation by indihoops.com

Scotland Performance Institute coach Jareem Dowling said center Aleksandar Zecevic is still considering Arkansas for a visit.

Forrest City point guard Robert Glasper said Tuesday's visit to Arkansas went well. He will decide in the next few days whether to accept the Hogs' walk-on invite or one of scholarship offers from schools like Holmes CC , Labette CC , University of Central Oklahoma , North Arkansas College , Arkansas Tech , Williams Baptist College , UAPB, Southern Arkansas University , University of Arkansas -Fort Smith and University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Ole Miss defensive coordinator Dave Wommack visited LaFayette County today to check on receiver Cualan Williams. La.-Monroe is expected to visit the school on Thursday.

Hope quarterback Austin Stubber has been invited to East Carolina and Southeast Missouri summer camps.
