3 finalists named for UALR chancellor post

Three finalists, all with leadership experience in higher education, have been chosen to fill the soon-to-be vacant chancellor post at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

In a news release, the university named Cheryl D. Lovell, special adviser to the chancellor and to the chief academic officer of the Colorado State University System; Andrew Rogerson, provost and vice president of academic affairs at Sonoma State University; and Mark Rudin, vice president for research and economic development at Boise State University.

The finalists are set to travel to UALR the week of May 9-13 for visits with the university community as well as other stakeholders in the selection process.

Once approved by the University of Arkansas Board of Trustees, the next UALR chancellor will replace the current leader, Joel Anderson, who is stepping down at the end of June.
