Thursday recruiting tidbits: Linebacker with over 20 offers hoping to visit Hogs

Key defensive target is hoping to visit Arkansas before announcing his decision.

Highly sought-after linebacker Addison Gumbs, an Arkansas target, plans to announce his decision in June and said he may come back to Fayetteville for a visit in late May.

Gumbs, 6-4, 215 of Hayward, (Calif.) Stellar Prep has more than 20 offers from schools like Arkansas, Oregon, Washington, Arizona State, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma and others. He and his parents visit the Hogs in early April.

Receiver Trestan Ebner of Henderson, Texas will compete in regionals this Friday and Saturday after recording a 10.58 in the 100 meters and 21.92 in the 200 in last week's 4A Area track meet.

Arkansas was one of his earlier football offers. TCU became his latest offer on Wednesday.

Arkansas safety target Todd Harris of Plaquemine, La. qualified for the state meet in the long jump and triple jump with jumps of 22-4 and 44-1. He visited the Hogs on Saturday.

Several Arkansas coaches are expected to visit New Orleans schools.

Cornerback Jeremiah West of St. Augustine High School said defensive coordinator Robb Smith will visit his school today.

He has an Arkansas offer. He attends the same school as Razorback linebacker signee Giovanni LaFrance.

Receivers coach Michael Smith is expected to visit John Curtis High School in River Ridge to check on linebacker target Garret Wallow.
