Political reporter sets LR talk

Ron Fournier, senior political columnist for National Journal and a former Arkansas-based journalist, will speak at the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service on Thursday.

Fournier covered then-Gov. Bill Clinton for the Arkansas Democrat and The Associated Press Little Rock bureau. After Clinton was elected president, Fournier moved to AP's Washington bureau and eventually became its bureau chief. He covers national politics. He has written extensively about three presidential administrations: Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

Fournier has written a new book -- Love That Boy: What Two Presidents, Eight Road Trips and My Son Taught Me About a Parent's Expectations.

His Clinton School speech is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Sturgis Hall. The Clinton School is on the grounds of the Clinton Presidential Center, 1200 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock.
