Lambright previously pleaded guilty to first-degree battery, a felony. Bryan Sexton, deputy prosecutor, and attorney Shane Wilkinson reached an agreement on sentencing.

Lambright was arrested May 24, 2015, and admitted that she shot Jon Beers of Rogers in the left arm with a .38-caliber gun, according to the probable-cause affidavit. She told police she intended to point the gun at Beers, according to court documents.

Benton County Circuit Judge Brad Karren followed the sentencing recommendation.

Lambright was sentenced to eight years in the Arkansas Department of Correction. She must abide by a suspended sentence agreement for 12 years after her release from prison.

She was ordered to pay $1,420 in court costs, but won't have to pay restitution to Beers. Sexton told Karren that Beers had requested leniency for Lambright.
