2 vehicles damaged during police chase; Jacksonville man arrested

A fleeing suspect damaged two vehicles during a Sunday morning chase in southwest Little Rock, according to an arrest report.

The chase began on West 65th Street when a̶ ̶L̶i̶t̶t̶l̶e̶ ̶R̶o̶c̶k̶ ̶p̶o̶l̶i̶c̶e̶ ̶o̶f̶f̶i̶c̶e̶r̶ an Arkansas State Police trooper* saw Terry Mudge, 41, of Jacksonville speeding, the report said.

Mudge ran several stop signs and red lights before t̶h̶e̶ an* officer tried to ram Mudge's vehicle to end the pursuit, the report stated.

The chase continued onto Geyer Springs Road, where Mudge struck an Arkansas State Police trooper's vehicle head-on, according to the report.

The Little Rock officer, again, unsuccessfully rammed Mudge's car, police said.

After hitting a passenger vehicle, Mudge's car finally came to stop when he crashed into a fence. He fled on foot, but police caught and arrested him, the report said.

He was charged with two counts of fleeing, two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, one count of aggravated assault, one count of theft by receiving and several traffic violations.

He remained at Pulaski County jail Sunday night without bail.
