A NOBLE WELCOME

Debut development event greets educators at school

A welcome reception for educators and school administrators attending the inaugural Noble Impact Educators Summit was held July 27 at the Clinton School of Public Service. The event gave guests a chance to meet and greet summit speakers, sponsors and student volunteers before getting down to business later that evening.

The three-day professional development event kicked off after the reception with Noble Talks featuring Jahana Hayes, the 2016 National Teacher of the Year; Lisa Gelobter, chief digital service officer of the U.S. Department of Education; and Patrick Jones, a YouTube math tutor and author of Calculus for Dummies; among others.

Clinton School Dean Skip Rutherford, along with dozens of Noble Impact student scholars identified by their blue T-shirts, greeted guests as they arrived. The school was host to the first day's gathering, followed by events at the Arkansas Innovation Hub and the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce. The Arkansas Department of Career Education was the summit's presenting sponsor.
