It took three officers and their Tasers to arrest a Sherwood man after he fled from a traffic stop Sunday afternoon, according to an arrest report.

A North Little Rock police officer stopped Keith McDaniel, 49, for not wearing a seat belt about 4 p.m. at West 24th Street and Pike Avenue, but McDaniel fled after the officer exited his vehicle, the report stated.

McDaniel evaded the officer, but police soon located his empty car in a nearby alley, the report said. A witness told police that he saw McDaniel hop a fence, and police found him hiding under a ramp at a business near the 900 block of West 25th Street, according to the report.

Police said McDaniel refused to come out and resisted when they tried to pull him out.

The first officer deployed his Taser, but McDaniel continued to resist, according to the report. Police finally arrested McDaniel after two additional officers deployed their Tasers, the report stated.

After receiving medical treatment from paramedics, McDaniel was charged with fleeing, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a glass methamphetamine pipe underneath the place where he hid, the report said.

He was being held at the Pulaski County jail Sunday evening in lieu of $4,500 bond.
