Missions' HR helps to blank Travelers

MISSIONS 4, TRAVELERS 0

A two-run home run from San Antonio designated hitter Ryan Miller gave the Missions all the cushion they needed Tuesday in a 4-0 victory over the Arkansas Travelers at Nelson Wolff Stadium in San Antonio.

Miller's home run, his fourth of the season, came with two outs in the fourth inning. Gabriel Quintana grounded out to start the inning, and after Luis Tejada singled, Trae Santos flied out in foul territory. A passed ball from Arkansas catcher Wade Wass allowed Tejada to advance to second before Miller's home run.

The Missions took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning on an RBI single from Quintana, his only hit of the game, and added their final run in the seventh inning when Santos scored on Felipe Blanco's double to right-center field.

Dinelson Limet (4-6) earned the victory for San Antonio after holding Arkansas to three hits, coming from Alex Yarbrough, Jabari Henry and Bo Way. Jose Molina (0-2) took the loss after allowing 3 earned runs on 5 hits in 5 innings.
