Vehicle flips on Arkansas interstate, ejects 3 people; 2 killed

A vehicle hit a cable barrier and flipped Sunday night on Interstate 555, ejecting three people and leaving two dead, authorities said.

A 2000 Mercury was traveling north on the interstate in Jonesboro around 6:12 p.m. when its right rear tire blew out, Arkansas State Police said. The vehicle's driver then overcorrected, sending the Mercury into a cable barrier, police said. It then flipped and ejected three of the occupants.
