A 37-year-old Midway man is accused of breaking into a car dealership and stealing a sedan, the Baxter County sheriff's office said Tuesday.

Early Sunday, a burglary alarm went off at Car Mart at 2077 Highway 62 East in Mountain Home, alerting authorities of motion in the business's lobby and cash room.

An Arkansas State Police trooper arrived soon after the alarm went off and was joined by deputies, the sheriff's office said.

The trooper found a glass door on the business's side had been broken with a piece of cinderblock.

Authorities also discovered that a set of keys appeared missing from the dealership's lock box, and a 2009 Dodge Avenger sedan was missing from the lot. Three electrical boxes at the business had also been damaged, officials said.

The sheriff's office said security footage at the lot shows the suspect to be Christopher Richard Jorsch.

Jorsch and the stolen vehicle were later found in neighboring Fulton County, according to a news release. He was taken into custody and faces separate charges in that county, the release states.

Baxter County officials said they plan on obtaining a warrant Tuesday charging Jorsch with commercial burglary, theft of property, breaking or entering and criminal mischief.
