A woman shot her boyfriend in the leg Monday afternoon at a west Little Rock apartment complex after an argument over money, according to a police report.

Ben Brown told police that he was at the Shadow Lake Apartments when his girlfriend, Audrey Marion, arrived about 4 p.m. and accused him of stealing $75 from her, according to the report.

Brown's sister Shantell Brown was nearby, and she told police she saw Marion hold a gun to her brother's head and then heard a gunshot. After her brother got into the apartment she locked the doors, then they heard several more gunshots, according to the report.

Officers arrived at the apartment to find a "large pool of blood" at the kitchen entrance and Brown lying behind an open refrigerator door, holding a towel over his right lower leg, according to the report.

Brown, 35, was taken to Baptist Health Medical Center for nonlife-threatening injuries, according to the report.

Marion left the apartments at 13111 W. Markham St. driving a white, four-door Dodge Avenger, police said.
