One person was found dead after a fire at an apartment complex in west Little Rock on Thursday morning.
Little Rock Fire Captain Edwin Woolf said crews were called shortly after 9 a.m. to the Landings at Rock Creek Apartments at 13200 Chenal Parkway.
Woolf said heavy smoke was visible coming from one apartment. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and keep the damage to the single unit. One person was found dead inside.
No information about that person is yet available, Woolf said.
The fire marshal remained on scene later Thursday morning investigating the cause.
