An Arkansas State University student living in Jonesboro is accused of recording two women while they were showering.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Virlan Lee, 21, admitted to police that he recorded a 25-year-old while she was in the shower two separate times at a home in the 700 block of White Dove Circle. He also told police he recorded a different woman while she showered on two occasions.

The affidavit said the 25-year-old woman filed a report Tuesday, saying Lee placed his cellphone under the bathroom door and recorded her while she was in the shower Saturday. Police contacted Lee on Wednesday, and during their interview, he told officers he recorded both women.

The second woman, a 22-year-old, also filed a report after police told her Lee had admitted to recording her in the shower.

Lee was charged with two counts of video voyeurism. He was booked into Craighead County jail on Wednesday night and was released Thursday at 3:32 p.m. He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 28.

In his petition for a public defender, Lee said he is a student at ASU. A news release from the university listed him on the dean's list for 2016's spring semester. He also listed an address in Forest City as his previous residence.
