Job skills training set at LR library

The Central Arkansas Library System is hosting a job skills workshop in Little Rock at 10 a.m. today.

Networking, resumes and interview skills will be covered in the daylong workshop at the Main Library located in the River Market District downtown. The day will conclude with practice interviews.

Linda Ellis with the library system will lead the networking session from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Karen Kuralt with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock will talk about resumes and cover letters. Participants are encouraged to take their own resumes and cover letters for feedback.

Interview skills will be discussed in the 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. session led by Don Ramsey with the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services.

From 2:30 to 4 p.m., practice interviews will take place.

"Interview with an expert for a few minutes and receive feedback on interview skills," a news release said.
