— Live observations from Arkansas' second scrimmage of fall practice.

— Lot of Razorbacks in green non-contact jerseys, including WR Keon Hatcher, RB Devwah Whaley, TE Anthony Antwine and obviously all the QBs. - JC

— The rain is coming down pretty heavily. - JC

— As expected, Kody Walker isn't practicing today. Rawleigh Williams is full contact. - JC

— Punter Toby Baker continues to show off an improved leg. It looks like Drew Morgan is working out at punt return now as well. - MJ

— The first-team offensive line: LT - Dan Skipper, LG - Hjalte Froholdt, C - Frank Ragnow, RG - Jake Raulerson, RT - Colton Jackson. — JC

— Khalia Hackett working with the first-team defense at Sam LB. — JC

— Tevin Beanum can't practice in full pads yet, so McTelvin Agim was the second-team DE opposite JaMichael Winston. — JC

— Ty Storey is the second QB to take a snap. Cole Kelley is the third, which means Rafe Peavey is running fourth now as the first-team offense takes the field again. — JC

— The second-team offensive line today is Brian Wallace LT, Johnny Gibson LG, Zach Rogers C, Deion Malone RG, Jake Hall RT. - MJ

— Ryan Pulley is getting a long look as the boundary corner with Henre' Toliver working inside as the nickelback. — JC

— Cole Kelley has made a few really difficult long passes across his body look easy. He also isn't shy about trying to force throws into tight spaces. He's 2-4 for 24 yards. Ty Storey is 1-2 for 11 yards. He doesn't have the arm strength and ability to make all the throws Kelley can, but also doesn't take as many risks and knows the system. Still no Rafe Peavey. It looks like a two-man race for the backup job, which has to favor Storey given the staff would really rather redshirt Kelley. — JC

—  I like that Arkansas' coaching staff has the team practicing in this downpour. This prepares them for real game situations. A lot of coaches would have the team indoors by now. - MJ

— Austin Allen just made the best throw of the day, a 19-yarder across the field that fit perfectly over Drew Morgan's shoulder and just out of the reach of Ryan Pulley right on the sideline. He's looked sharp for a second straight week. — JC

— The first-team offense is mostly just thud. Backups going full contact. — JC

— DE Randy Ramsey is working some with the first-team defense with Deatrich Wise absent from today's scrimmage. JaMichael Winston in there for the most part. — JC

— Cole Kelley is a stud. Obviously still has to develop, learn the playbook and learn what he can and cant get away with tin the SEC, but he has a lot of talent. — JC

— Colton Jackson has gotten all the first-team reps at right tackle and been solid for the most part. No Jalen Merrick so far, which is odd. Jake Hall has gotten second-team reps at right tackle, maybe the first time all camp he's done so. — JC

— DeAndre Coley just picked Cole Kelley on a pass deep downfield into double coverage. Not a smart throw, which goes back to what I wrote earlier about him learning what he can and can't get away with. — JC

— Coley has a team-best six tackles and the pick today. — JC

— A good chunk of the team just walked off the field. Practice may be wrapping up. — JC

— Team actually moved to the indoor facility. Ricky Town is finally in, working now with the developmental group. CORRECTION: No Rafe Peavey today. He didn't dress out. An earlier report incorrectly listed Peavey as playing sparingly. — JC

— Devwah Whaley has taken the majority of the first-team reps even while wearing a green non-contact jersey. Rawleigh Williams doesn't have a green jersey on but has played sparingly. Again, the starters are mostly just going thud. — JC

— Colton Jackson has had some good moments, but just got burned and gave up a sack to JaMichael Winston on one play, then manhandled by Jeremiah Ledbetter on the next as Ledbetter pressured Austin Allen. Jackson has been solid in the run game. — JC

— Austin Allen continues his impressive day, stepping up into the pocket and dropping a perfect pass to Jeremy Sprinkle over the middle of the field. Sprinkle couldn't hang on, but the pass was great. — JC

— Allen just hit Jared Cornelius for a 31-yard TD on a back shoulder throw across the field. Henre' Toliver didn't get his head turned around and probably couldn't have done anything if he did. Allen has made all the right throws with accuracy so far today. The secondary has been in decent position, but hasn't been able to make a ton of plays on the ball. — JC

— LaMichael Pettway sighting. Caught a drag route across the field from Storey and picked up about 18. Haven't seen as much of him as I figured we might this fall camp. Obviously the position is loaded, but Deon Stewart and Jordan Jones have gotten more reps and produced more than him. — JC

— If it was live, De'Jon Harris would've lit Storey up on a blitz. The second-team offensive line has struggled. Randy Ramsey another active day. He was there at the same time as Scoota. Austin Capps pushed the pocket. — JC

— The corners have been playing a good amount of press coverage today. There hasn't been the 8-10 yards of cushion on plays they don't press, either. Collins at field, Toliver at boundary and Richardson at nickel. When Toliver shifts to nickel, Ryan Pulley has played boundary.

— McTelvin Agim has played some defensive end, but has also worked inside, too. He just pushed a Ragnow-Froholdt double team to help collapse the pocket on a sack. His strength is really impressive for a true freshman. — JC

— Jordan Jones has had the best day of the young WRs. Now that he's healthy, it's clear why the coaching staff is so high on him. He's long, has routinely used his speed to get behind DBs and has shown off pretty good hands and the ability to go ge the ball. He's been a favorite target of Cole Kelley today. Will be interesting to see if he gets added looks against Louisiana Tech if Dominique Reed can't go. — JC

— Randy Ramsey is giving Brian Wallace trouble with his speed rush off the edge. Wallace has worked at LT with the second-team offense all day. Ramsey has floated back and forth between the first and second team. — JC

— Cole Kelley just rifled a back-shoulder pass to LaMichael Pettway for a 34-yard TD. Almost identical throw as Allen's earlier, but with more velocity. — JC
