A 79-year-old bicyclist died Friday when he hit a truck in Benton County, according to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police.
Jack Allen of Bella Vista was biking west on McNelly Road at 8:39 a.m. when he did not turn with the road and started to cross onto Looney Road, police said. Allen hit a 2006 Ford truck and was killed, police said.
Police said rain was falling and the road was wet at the time of the accident.
