66-year-old woman killed, child injured in Arkansas crash

A single-vehicle crash in rainy weather over the weekend left a 66-year-old woman dead and a child injured in White County, according to state police.

The accident occurred around 3:40 p.m. Saturday when Victoria Crisler of Pangburn was traveling west on Arkansas 124 near Arkansas 127, a preliminary report states.

State police said Crisler lost control of her 2009 Chevrolet SUV on the wet highway, causing it to then strike a nearby tree.

Crisler died as a result, and a girl traveling as a passenger in her vehicle was wounded, according to authorities.

Her death was the 337th reported on an Arkansas road so far this year, based on preliminary information.
