Gymnastics tour featuring Olympic champions to stop in North Little Rock

United States gymnasts Simone Biles (left) and Aly Raisman acknowledge the crowd after the duo became just the second pair of Americans to sweep the top two spots in the all-around competition Thursday at the Rio Games. Biles’ gold-medal victory adds to a dominating three-year run in which she won 14 world championship medals, including 10 golds. Raisman won the silver after missing out on a bronze at the 2012 Olympics because of a tiebreaker.

Members of the Olympic gold medal-winning USA Gymnastics team will make an appearance in North Little Rock during a nationwide tour this fall.

The Kellogg's Tour Of Gymnastics Champions will stop at Verizon Arena on Oct. 5. Tickets, which are currently on sale, range from $26 to $296.

A news release on the tour says performers at the exhibition will include Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman, who were all on the gold-winning team competition in Rio de Janeiro. Biles won three other gold medals and a bronze while Raisman took home two silvers.

Nastia Liukin, the Olympic all-around champion in 2008, will also perform on the tour, which begins Sept. 15 in Spokane, Wash., and will stop in 35 other cities across the country, the release said.
