Motorcyclist dies in crash on Arkansas interstate

A motorcyclist from Crittenden County was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 55 early Tuesday, according to authorities.

In a preliminary report, Arkansas State Police said Eddie Miller, 55, of Crawfordsville was traveling north on the highway around 2:31 a.m. when his Honda motorcycle left I-55 at mile marker 4, which is near West Memphis, and struck a guardrail.

Miller was pronounced dead at the scene by Crittenden County Coroner Bill Wolfe, state police said.

Travel conditions at the time of the crash were described as clear and dry.

Miller's death was the 336th reported so far this year on an Arkansas road, according to preliminary figures.
