3 Arkansas crashes in 3 days fatal to 3; 3 others die in earlier wrecks

Crashes on Arkansas roads since Sunday killed three people while another three people died in crashes earlier this month, according to preliminary reports from Arkansas State Police.

A Crawfordsville man died early Tuesday in a crash on Interstate 55 in Crittenden County, according to a police report.

Eddie Miller, 55, was pronounced dead at the scene when the 2005 Honda motorcycle he was riding hit a guardrail about 2:31 a.m., police said.

The weather was clear and the road was dry.

An 82-year-old woman died Monday when the vehicle she was driving went airborne and hit a tree in Columbia County, according to a report.

Betty Palmer of Springhill, La., was driving south on U.S. 371 about 12:45 p.m. when her vehicle veered into a culvert, then went airborne and crashed into a tree, police said.

Palmer, who was driving a 1998 Mercury, died, police said, and her passenger, Thomas Palmer, 58, also of Springhill, La., was injured, police said.

Police said the weather was cloudy and the road was dry.

A Sunday crash in Jefferson County left one person dead and another person injured, according to a police report.

Danny Brundidge, 64, of Milo, Iowa, was headed east on U.S. 270 Sunday afternoon when he attempted to turn onto Arkansas 104, pulling in front of a 2007 GMC Yukon that was headed west, police said.

The Yukon hit the front of Brundidge's vehicle, a 2004 Honda, and then crashed into the front left side of a 2002 Honda that was headed south on Arkansas 104, police said.

Brundidge was killed while Alisa Montgomery, 47, of Sheridan, a passenger in the 2002 Honda, was injured, police said.

The weather was clear and the road was dry, according to a report.

A weekend crash in White County killed a 66-year-old woman and injured a child, according to a police report.

About 3:40 p.m. Saturday, Victoria Crisler of Pangburn was traveling west on Arkansas 124 when the vehicle she was driving left the road and hit a tree, police said.

Crisler, who was driving a 2009 Chevrolet SUV, died. A girl in the vehicle was injured, police said. State police do not release the names of children involved in fatal crashes.

The weather was rainy and the road was wet.

State police reported Monday that a 36-year-old man died from injuries in a one-vehicle crash in Sebastian County that occurred earlier this month.

On Aug. 12, about 10:20 p.m., a 2001 Ford Ranger was headed west on West Harmony Road when it left the road on a curve and drove off the side of a bridge, police said.

The vehicle flipped into a creek and landed on its top, according to the report.

Driver Daniel Belle of Hartford was killed, police said.

The weather was clear and the road was dry, according to the report.

In a report released Monday, police said an 81-year-old man died from injuries in a crash Thursday in Poinsett County.

Jimmy Rogers of Trumann died after he crossed the centerline on Maple Grove Lane and crashed head-on into a 2015 Chevrolet pickup that was headed in the opposite direction, police said.

The Chevrolet truck driver, Landdon Stotts, 23, of Trumann was injured, police said.

The weather was rainy and the road was wet at the time of the crash, according to the report.
