Style: Considering 'Greater,' film about former Razorback Brandon Burlsworth

Former Razorback football player Brandon Burlsworth is something like a legend around these parts — a gentle, humble giant of a man who died far too young, on the cusp of what could have turned out to be a long and lucrative professional career. It took Fayetteville-based producer Brian Reindl 11 years to bring his story to the screen, but Greater finally arrives in theaters Friday. And Philip Martin considers the film in our Style section.

Meanwhile Dan Lybarger talks with Brandon’s brother and mentor, Marty Burlsworth, along with actor Neal McDonough, who plays Marty in the movie. Meanwhile, our Piers Marchant takes a look at another sports movie, the Roberto Duran bio-pic Hands of Stone.

And there are a slew of other releases opening in theaters this week. For the latest, see Friday’s Style section in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
