Murder-suicide leaves 2 dead in Pulaski County house

5:40 p.m. UPDATE:

Authorities said a murder-suicide resulted in two bodies being found inside a Pulaski County house near Jacksonville on Sunday afternoon.

The bodies were identified as Kelvin, 31, and Erma Butler, 28, a married couple living in the house at 2525 Old Military Road. The Pulaski County sheriff's office said a gun was used in the murder-suicide and that it happened between 11 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday. They would not release any other details on the shooting.

The Butlers were parents to five children, none of whom were at the house during the shooting.

The Pulaski County sheriff's office is investigating after two bodies were found in a home near Jacksonville on Sunday.

Capt. Carl Minden, a spokesman for the sheriff's office, said a man and a woman were found dead in the house at 2525 Old Military Road.

Deputies are considering it a death investigation. Minden said members of the office's criminal investigative division had yet to enter the house as of 3 p.m.
