Jailed in the death of Gary Phillips, 53, were Johnny Reed Jr., 31; Keenan Beacham, 21; and Vennessa Lyons, 23, all of Conway, police spokesman LaTresha Woodruff said in a news release. The ages listed are according to an online roster of Faulkner County jail inmates.

Phillips died after someone dropped him off at a Conway hospital's emergency room.

Reed surrendered to police earlier this week after learning that he was being sought for questioning, according to reports. Police arrested him at that time on an unrelated charge, Woodruff said. He now, also faces the capital-murder charge.

Police arrested Beacham late Thursday and Lyons on Friday, according to reports. In addition to capital murder, Lyons was jailed on two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, Woodruff said.

Because it is an ongoing investigation, Woodruff said, police were not releasing additional information in the case.
