Of two Little Rock brothers, one cut, both jailed

Little Rock police on Saturday arrested a man accused of stabbing his brother.

Officers responded about 5 a.m. to CHI St. Vincent Infirmary, where Waverly Jones, 29, was being treated. Jones told police that his brother, Marcus Hicks, 27, stabbed him with a pocketknife during an argument, according to an arrest report.

Police arrested Hicks at 5300 Baseline Road, the address listed for both brothers.

Hicks was charged with second-degree battery. He was being held at the Pulaski County jail late Saturday.

Police also arrested Jones, who was wanted in two traffic cases and one criminal case, according to the report. Additionally, police said he lied to officers about his birthday and home address and tried to run from the hospital.

Jones was charged with obstructing governmental operations. He was not listed on the Pulaski County jail roster late Saturday.
