Adam Faucett and the Tall Grass Buffalo will perform at 9 p.m. today at White Water Tavern in Little Rock. Admission is $7.

Faucett, whose voice has been compared to those of Otis Redding, Tim Buckley and Cat Power, began his solo musical career in 2006 after the break-up of his Russellville-based band, Taught the Rabbits. He released his debut solo album, The Great Basking Shark, in 2007, and followed that with Show Me Magic, Show Me Out, in 2008 and More Like a Temple in 2011.

His latest, Blind Water Finds Blind Water, came out in 2014 and was No. 34 on American Songwriter magazine's Top 40 releases list that year. The magazine said that the album is "a little too far out for the pop-folk, too rockin' for the traditionalists, too mercurial for the mainstream."

Faucett has toured with or opened shows for Jason Isbell, Lucero, Damien Jurado and Chuck Ragan.

American Princes will perform at 9 p.m. Friday. Admission is $10.

American Princes' members, though living long distances from one another, occasionally return to their former base of Little Rock to perform during the Christmas holidays. Members are Collins Kilgore on lead guitar and vocals, Matthew Quin on drums, David Slade on rhythm guitar and vocals and Will Boyd on lead guitar and keyboards.

The group formed in 2003 and released two albums on Little Rock record label Max Recordings (We Are the People in 2003 and Little Spaces in 2004), followed by two albums on the North Carolina label, Yep Roc Records (Less and Less in 2006 and Other People in 2008), along with a self-titled EP in 2011 on Reynolds Records.
