Police: Burglar steals $1,000 from Little Rock pizzeria

A burglar took at least $1,000 from cash drawers inside a pizzeria in Little Rock on Thursday morning, police say.

An employee told authorities that someone entered Pizza D’Action at 2919 W. Markham St. between 4:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. that day, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

The restaurant was closed at the time and had been locked when everyone left for the night, according to authorities.

The employee said the burglar used an unknown device to break open a door where the business’s cash registers were held.

A description of the thief was not immediately available Friday afternoon.

No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
