THE SKINNY: When I order a coffee I do it this way: "Diet Dr Pepper, please?"
As a noncoffee-drinker, I'm not entirely qualified to review the no-refrigeration-required Whipped Latte Foam Toppings of Jordan's Skinny Syrups. (I would, however, be more qualified to review her line of cocktail mixers in flavors such as Margarita and Mojito; but I didn't receive those samples.) I did try a serving size (three pumps) of the Ace-K-sweetened Chocolate Peppermint flavor on a spoon, and the watery foam of ingredients I can't pronounce (quillaja saponaria molina extract, anyone?) was inoffensive, even if it had a definite diet aftertaste.
I left the bottle for my co-workers to try. Summed up one who shared my impression: "So this interesting product of science blends in OK, keeps a sort of foamy look at the top and flavors the coffee like other sugar-free syrup ... not too bad or horrible."
Other flavors include French Vanilla, Irish Coffee, Maple Bourbon, Marshmallow, Mocha and Caramel. Bottles, which contain 105 servings, are sold for $5.99 (plus shipping) at skinnymixes.com.
