2 women robbed in Little Rock parking lot

A man chased and robbed two women at gunpoint at a northwest Little Rock apartment complex Sunday night.

Tonya Hammons, 54, of Little Rock told police "a black male" with a black handgun confronted her and a friend in the parking lot of the Warren Terrace Apartments at 8̶6̶0̶0̶ ̶C̶o̶m̶m̶u̶n̶i̶t̶y̶ ̶R̶o̶a̶d̶ 1900 Reservoir Road* at 8:40 p.m. Sunday.

Hammons ran away when the man demanded money, but her friend, who a police report only identified as "Nikki," stayed.

After taking money from her friend, the man chased Hammons until he found $25 she had dropped on the ground. Hammons' friend had just given her the $25 to pay a debt, the report stated.

Hammons' friend left the area before police arrived. The friend did not answer phone calls from police on Sunday, the report said, and the no suspect was in custody.
