LR Christian's Hays commits to UA

Little Rock Christian lineman Dylan Hays was asked to join the Arkansas program by Coach Bret Bielema Monday evening and he orally committed to the Hogs.

Hays, 6-3, 290, 5.0 seconds in the 40-yard dash, picked the Razorbacks over scholarship offers from Missouri, Indiana, Missouri State, Middle Tennessee, Central Arkansas and others.

The Tigers and Hoosiers offered him on Sunday. He was committed to Central Arkansas, but reopened his recruiting minutes before pledging to the Hogs.

He could sign with the Hogs on Wednesday, national signing day, or be awarded a scholarship at a later date.

"I'm going to be a Razorback ," said Hays, who's being recruited to play the offensive line. "It's totally living a dream. I was kind of little star struck talking with the head coach of the Razorbacks and getting to live this out."

Hays is the 22nd commitment for Arkansas' 2016 class. Oral commitments are nonbinding.
