Couple charged with restraining 7-year-old in plastic wrap

ROCKVILLE, Md. — Authorities say a Maryland couple restrained the man's 7-year-old son by wrapping him in plastic wrap from his shoulders to his knees at bedtime for months.

According to online court records and charging documents, Nicole Williams and Craig Anthoney Williams were charged in December with first-degree child abuse. A scheduling hearing for both is set for Feb. 12 in Montgomery County Circuit Court.

Charging documents say the boy was taken to a hospital Dec. 2 with multiple injuries, including cuts, blisters and bruises over his body. The boy also had severe muscle injuries.

The documents say Craig Williams admitted to wrapping his son up at bedtime for seven months.

David Driscoll, Craig Williams' lawyer, told NBC4 that information that has been made public is not the complete story.
