2 shots fired in couple's dispute

Little Rock police on Wednesday arrested a woman accused of shooting at her husband during an argument.

Officers were called shortly after 7 p.m. to 9704 Woodford Drive. Cleveland Watson, 64, said he and his wife, Toniette, had been arguing about their grandson being arrested when she threatened to kill him, according to a police report. He said his wife grabbed a pistol and fired twice, and "the rounds both landed just over his head."

No injuries were reported.

Police found bullet holes in the ceiling and door frame when they arrived, according to the report.

Toniette Watson, 62, told investigators she and her husband had been drinking whiskey, and that she fired at him because he tried to attack her, the report states.

She was charged with aggravated assault against a family or household member, a felony.

Watson pleaded innocent Thursday morning in Little Rock District Court and was later released from the Pulaski County jail on $1,000 bond.
