LITTLE ROCK — The chairman and several members of the Arkansas Legislative Black Caucus are backing Hillary Clinton's bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Clinton's campaign Friday announced the endorsements from 10 members of the caucus. They include Chairman Sen. Linda Chesterfield of Little Rock and Vice Chairman Rep. Charles Armstrong of Little Rock.

Clinton was Arkansas' first lady for 12 years and has the support of most of the state's top Democrats, including its five superdelegates. She's running against Vermont U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders for the Democratic nomination.

Clinton won Arkansas' primary in her unsuccessful 2008 White House bid. Republicans now hold all of the state's congressional and statewide seats and hold a majority in both chambers of the Legislature.
