Burger 21, a Tampa, Fla.-based "fast-casual" chain of restaurants, plans to open its first location in Arkansas by the end of the year, the company said Friday.

In addition to opening a location in Little Rock this year, a news release from the company said franchise operator Allen Hurst plans to open four more locations in the state within the next five years.

With that addition of a location in Athens, Ga., this year, the company will operate locations in 11 states, the release said.

According to menus posted online, Burger 21 offers a variety of burgers made of beef, chicken, turkey, tuna and black beans, along with "hand-spun shakes and floats."

Beef burgers typically range from $5-$10 without fries (which are available at an added cost) and floats are between $3-$5, according to online menus.

Information on where in Little Rock the chain plans on opening was not available.
