What does it do: Great for that one room that just stays chilly. Just place in center of the room and choose from two heat settings. The heater also has a programmable thermostat and four-hour timer. Safety features include an automatic shut-off if the heater is tipped over or if it overheats. Honeywell says this model (5,120 Btu per hour) provides 25 percent more heat output and 20 percent faster room heat-up than previous models. Retail price is $39.99.

What's to love: Versatile mix-and-match organizers.
What do they do: Made of frosted white plastic, the drawer organizers come in a variety of shapes and sizes and with different numbers of compartments, allowing the user to customize the spaces. Great for organizing junk drawers, sock drawers or craft supplies. The organizers come in flat packages and must be assembled. They can be bought in sets or individually. Prices vary.
