Police seek robber of Metro PCS store

Little Rock police are looking for a man who robbed a Metro PCS location at 7515 Geyer Springs Road, Suite 2, at 6:45 p.m. Friday.

A black man, about 6-foot-2 or 6-foot-3 and weighing about 170 pounds, displayed a dark semi-automatic gun and demanded money out of the cash drawer, according to a police news release. A store employee handed cash to the man, who left the store on foot and went east across the parking lot.

No other suspects or vehicles were seen, according to police.

The suspect was wearing black pants that were sagging, a dark hooded sweatshirt pulled over his head and a dark mask, police said, referring to security footage from the store.

He also wore a shirt under his sweatshirt that was white, orange and brown. He was wearing gloves, "possibly black leather," and was in his 20s or 30s with a tenor-range voice, police said.

NLR man held after 2nd reports cutting

North Little Rock police arrested a 30-year-old man Saturday morning after another man reported being cut across the stomach, according to an arrest report.

Police responded to a report of a stabbing at 900 W. 16th St., where they found a man with a "large cut on his stomach" that they did not believe to be life-threatening, according to the report. The man told police that Gary Johnson had cut him.

Police found Johnson sitting on his porch at 1608 Schaer St. Johnson told police he had been in an altercation with the man earlier but did not cut him, the report said.

Johnson was arrested just after 10 a.m. Saturday and charged with second-degree battery. He remained in Pulaski County jail Saturday night in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
