Arkansas forest workers find body while doing controlled burn

NOGO, Ark. — Pope County officials say forestry workers conducting a controlled burn found the body of a man in the area in which they were working.

The Pope County sheriff's office said Monday that the body was found Sunday evening at Nogo, north of Hector. Deputies said they do not suspect foul play.

Dispatchers received a call Sunday from U.S. Forest Service workers.

The body was sent to the state Crime Laboratory in Little Rock for an autopsy. The name of the person was not released.
