Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign will open its Arkansas headquarters Monday, weeks before the state's polls open for the so-called "SEC primary" March 1.

The headquarters, located at 323 Center St. in downtown Little Rock, is just around the corner from the "War Room," where Bill Clinton directed his national campaign for the presidency in 1992.

The Clintons themselves were not listed among the people set to open the headquarters in a ceremony Monday night, according to a news release sent out by Clinton's campaign.

In attendance will be former Little Rock Mayor Lottie Shackleford, Bill Clinton aide Bob Nash and Clinton supporters, the release said.

A spokesman for the Clinton campaign said "hundreds" of volunteers have signed up with the campaign across the state and begun making phone calls.

The spokesman declined to say how many paid staffers will be based in Little Rock.

The Clinton campaign's main headquarters is located in Brooklyn, N.Y.
