Radio personality Ashley King has returned to central Arkansas, joining KSSN 96's on-air lineup effective immediately, the country music station said in a news release Monday.

In addition to her midday shift from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays, King will serve as assistant program director and music director for KSSN 96, according to the Little Rock station listed as 95.7 FM on the radio dial.

"KSSN has all of the ingredients necessary for a big, successful country station, as it always has been, and I’m so glad that I’m a part of it,” King said in the news release.

King previously worked for two country radio stations affiliated with KSSN 96's parent company, iHeartMedia, in northwest Arkansas. Those stations were KKIX 103.9 FM in Fayetteville and KMAG 99.1 FM in Fort Smith, said Matt Cruz, spokesman for KSSN 96.

She was also a radio personality in Little Rock for about five years, working the morning shift at Signal Media's The Point 94.1 FM, KKPT, Cruz said.
