Man injured in I-430 wreck dies at hospital

A driver who was ejected from his vehicle during a January wreck on Interstate 430 in Little Rock died at the hospital last week, police said.

The man, Ken Shaw, 39, of Alexander, died at Baptist Health Center on Feb. 4, five days after he was involved in a three-car accident, according to an Arkansas State Police report.

The report says Shaw was driving one of two vehicles rear-ended by a Nissan Altima on southbound I-430 the night of Jan 29. Shaw's Jeep Wrangler left the road and overturned, ejecting him, the report stated.

There were no other injuries reported from the wreck.

Road conditions at the time were described as clear and dry.

Shaw's death is one of 37 fatalities along Arkansas roads so far this year, according to preliminary state police records.
