Carrier to offer seasonal nonstop flights from Little Rock to Destin, Fla.

Regional air carrier Glo, based in New Orleans, will offer seasonal nonstop flights from Little Rock to Destin, Fla., later this year, the company said Thursday.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday flights from Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock to Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport at Florida's Emerald Coast will begin March 25 and run through Sept. 5, according to a news release.

Friday flights will depart Little Rock at 9:50 a.m. and arrive at Destin at 11:38 a.m. Flights later that day will depart Destin at 12:10 p.m. and arrive in Little Rock at 2:14 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday flights will depart Destin at 10:10 a.m. and arrive in Little Rock at 12:14 p.m. Later that day, departing flights will leave Little Rock at 12:45 p.m. and arrive in Destin at 2:38 p.m.

The service will begin with one-way introductory "GLOForIt" $149 fares, according to the air carrier.

“Families will be able to reach the beautiful, white sand beaches much quicker without facing a long drive,” Ronald F. Mathieu, executive director of Clinton National Airport, said in the news release.
