A Saline County man won $2 million in the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery's Play it Again drawing, lottery officials said.
Steve DePriest of Benton purchased the $20 Gold Rush game ticket at Murphy USA, 17305 Interstate 30 in Benton, according to a news release from the lottery.
He submitted the non-winning ticket into his Play it Again Rewards Club account, and it won the prize in Monday's drawing.
When lottery officials told DePriest he'd won the drawing, he thought he was being pranked by his friends, he said.
He was not sure what he was going to do with the prize but said that he plans to surprise his wife with the news.
