A 20-year-old man was accidentally shot and injured during a game of Russian roulette Tuesday morning, Little Rock police said.

Police responded to 2826 S. Summit St. after a 10:09 a.m. call, Lt. Steve McClanahan said.

At the scene, the man shot, Ladevyon Harris, and 19-year-old Bryant Taylor of 2115 S. Scott St. in Little Rock initially said "a number of individuals drove up in a black [Dodge] Avenger and began shooting at them" while they were standing and smoking outside.

Harris and Taylor later changed their stories, telling police that they were playing Russian roulette with a .357 revolver. At one point during the game, the handgun discharged in Taylor's possession, striking Harris in the leg, according to a police report.

Harris' injuries were not life-threatening, McClanahan said. He was transported to UAMS Medical Center.
