A Prattsville man died after his vehicle crossed the centerline and hit a pickup on New Year's Eve in Saline County, Arkansas State Police reported.
Michael Curtiss, 52, was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu north on Arkansas 35 near Hobbs at 11:18 p.m. when the car crossed the centerline and hit a 1997 Ford pickup head-on, the report said. Curtiss died at the scene.
The driver of the pickup was a minor and was not identified in the report. He was injured in the crash and taken to Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton. His condition was not listed in the report.
At the time of the crash, the weather was clear and roads were dry.
According to preliminary data, it was the 512th death on Arkansas roads in 2015.
