Officers were called to CHI St. Vincent shortly after 1 p.m. where two 17-year-olds were being treated. A police report said the two had gone to the area near West 16th and Brown streets to meet a man identified in the report only as Tloe, "a known drug dealer," to give him $250. The report did not disclose why the two were giving Tloe money.

At some point during the meeting, Tloe got upset and hit one of the teens in the face with a black handgun, causing a contusion, the report said. Tloe then searched a 2006 GMC pickup and found the other 17-year-old hiding in the backseat. He shot that teen and then fled.

One of the teens drove them both to the hospital.

Lt. Steven McClanahan said Tuesday night that both teens, who were not identified, were in stable condition, and the investigation was ongoing. No arrests had been made Tuesday night.
