ASU-Beebe Open Enrollment Day

BEEBE — Arkansas State University-Beebe will hold an Open Enrollment Day for new and returning students from 1:45-3:30 p.m. in the Business and Agriculture Building. Admissions, advising and financial-aid personnel, as well as academic advisers, will be available to assist students in registering. Students need to bring photo identification. Spring 2016 day and night classes will begin Monday. Students can enroll for classes at any of the four ASU-Beebe campuses: in Beebe, Heber Springs and Searcy, and at the Little Rock Air Force Base. Historical and Genealogical Society Meeting

BROCKWELL — The Izard County Historical and Genealogical Society will meet at 2 p.m. at the Izard County Senior Center, on Arkansas 9, south of Brockwell. Roger Harvell will be the speaker for the meeting. He is a descendant of early Izard County pioneer families and the author of a book about early Izard County landowners. The meeting is open to the public.

The Biggest Loser Community Challenge

HIGHLAND — The Spring River Area Chamber of Commerce will bring the eight-week Biggest Loser Community Challenge, an online health and wellness challenge, to the area beginning Feb. 15. The challenge seeks teams of four, for a $100 enrollment fee, to represent businesses, organizations and individuals in the national event, which will give away more than 10,000 prizes, including trips to the finale of The Biggest Loser television show in Los Angeles. Ozarka College Spring Registration

MELBOURNE — Current and new students may register for spring courses at Ozarka College, which will begin Monday. Students may also register for the summer terms, which begin May 16. Both spring and summer courses are offered at each of Ozarka’s four campuses in Melbourne, Ash Flat, Mammoth Spring and Mountain View. Several programs can also be completed online. Second Time Around Bookstore

SEARCY — The Literacy Council of White County operates the Second Time Around Bookstore at 811 S. Main St., Suite D. Proceeds from the sale of donated books support the mission of helping adults in the community improve their literacy and English-language skills. The store and literacy office are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays. Yoga in the Gallery

BATESVILLE — The Batesville Area Arts Council offers Yoga in the Gallery classes at 8:45 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday at the BAAC Gallery on Main, 226 E. Bird, Butterfly Workshop

NEWPORT — Jacksonport State Park will hold a workshop on feeding birds in the winter and gardening for spring butterflies. Crime Watch Dinner, Dessert Auction
